Video: Gilbert Arenas' new adidas spot

Spot? Commercial? Movie? Honestly, I have no idea. Let's go with film. Anyway, like my blogging brethren, the good folks from adidas sent over this new Gilbert Arenas film, part of a four-part series featuring Dwight Howard, Tracy McGrady, Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett coaching young ballers from the U.S. and China about "The Brotherhood". Because, as you know, it's all about "The Brotherhood".

Check out FanHouse for parts two and three featuring Superman, T-Mac and TD.

Yeah I agree, no matter how much you hate the player. There is nothing like the look on these kids faces when he pulled up and took them to the Wizards arena.

I don't get how someone who barely plays anymore and never won a championship or MVP still gets commercial endorsement deals!!!

Its called being a franchise player JM. Thats how you get endorsement deals. You guys all hate to love Areans. I remember not too long ago we us all back him up and loved that number 0 story. Mo Mo Problems i guess. Maybe he should struggle and be waived by the Wizards so we can love him again. Get serious.

I think that Arenas is over rated personnally. The wiz have been pretty respectable in last few years basically, without him. Wiz are under rated, Arenas is over rated. i'm interested if he can pick it back up- because he's lost his franchise label in my book. Got to play first.

why so many haters? he's not allen iverson. he's not the new arrogant paul pierce? this guy is all about jokes and playing the game. so what if he's getting paid a lot, what the hell has he done to you??? respect what he's done for these kids and for the game. he's the most dynamic point guard in the NBA. hate it or love it.

he's had THREE knee injuries in the last 18 months dude. who cares what "i'll jack up any shot to get my numbers" streak he was on TWO YEARS AGO. Wiz fans are nuts. "atop the East" is a pipe dream for this team. They are decent.

Aaron Y, have you seen a game in the last two seasons by Utah, or NO? Hell, I'd even take Tony Parker over Arenas even before the knee injury...er..... injuries.

Look, I'm not baggin on Arenas as much as i am on the "nuttso" fans who think he's "the most dynamic point guard in the NBA". Arenas was a pretty decent player, but that was TWO SEASONS AGO. My old college coach used to say, "i'm from missouri.....the SHOW ME state"

gil need to get back on the court. commercials are cool but, i need action . The wizards are stupid for giving this guy all that money after that injury. to be honest i dont think he will be no were as good as he was 2 seasons ago. He's damaged goods.

bisterro b... can mo push us over the top? we went seven with boston last year and even though i was dead wrong about joe smith (i thought he was gonna kill) we got out of the worst part of last seasons trade....whew.

Well, I guess Gilbert has to find something to do while he's sitting on the pine waiting for the day when he can play again. Even then, he might just be a shadow of what he once was.

What is wrong with you People. As a giant Cavs fan, I have nothing but the utmost respect for Gilbert Arenas. Beatman had it right...all the greats have haters. He is a great player, a dynamic talent, and it's a shame he got injured. Haters saying "he shouldn't do commercials" he should focus on his injury? Hello. He can't play basketball right now, he can only rehab so much. Have any of you idiot bloggers actually ever been injured?
Call the commercial self serving, call it selfish publicity, but he doesn't HAVE to do what he does with the kids. He said it himself, the more creative you are the more creative your teammates will be. To hate on the fact that he took a bunch of kids from Washington to the Wizards facility to show them some basketball drills and take them to dinner is beyond stupid. He doesn't HAVE to do that. He does it because he's genuinely a good guy. He could film a weak commercial like other people do showing off his new shoe, or do something cool for kids who might not have a chance otherwise.
I hope he recovers quickly. I hope he gets back into the playoffs. I've got tickets Xmas day and I hope he there at the Q running his mouth. Of course when LeBron smacks Songaila, Butler, and Stevenson in the mouth before dropping a triple double on them, wiz fans will know real fast who the Chosen One is. That being said, I would love Gilbert Arenas on my team any day.
    Fools.
