Ball Don't Lie - NBA

Thursday night was a pretty good one for Dwight Howard(notes). Sure, he put up a monster 29 and 17 in the Magic's big Game 2 win over the Hawks, but that's not even what I'm talking about. No, I'm talking about Dwight's burgeoning stand-up comedy career.

First, Dwight debuted his newest impersonation. It might not go over so well in Cleveland.

Totally nailed it. It's good to see Dwight has added to his repertoire. His Charles Barkley is pitch perfect, and his ongoing Shaquille O'Neal(notes) mimicry is pretty good too. If he can play all these characters, he'd be great on Saturday Night Live, hint hint.

Then later, during the postgame press conference, Dwight showed his physical comedy skills after a reporter told him that his salmon shirt looked nice on him.

Well played, Dwight. An awkward "question" deserves an awkward response, even if salmon is a pretty nice color on almost everyone.

You know, if this whole being great at basketball thing doesn't work out, it's good to know Dwight Howard has other options. Give him six months and he could have a tight five he can take on stage at The Improv.  Or I guess he could stick with hoops. His call, really.
