Ball Don't Lie - NBA

Derrick Rose put on a show in Philadelphia last night. The Chi-Town rookie point guard finished with 18 points, 10 assists, five rebounds and one (damaged) Andre Miller soul as the Bulls defeated the Sixers, 103-92. First, peep the block, and then get those crutches ready. This is all sorts of 720p nasty.

KD's high-jacked comments from this morning's Behind The Box Score: "[Rose chopping down old man Miller should] help Bulls fans feel a little better over something that happened on that side of the court at around the same spot, during the 1996-97 season. Comments section trivia winner gets a knowing nod." Have at it.

To be fair AI's crossover was a little bit better, and Andre Miller is no Michael Jordan

Haha......Miller slipped and that's why he fell, now because Rose made a good crossover. Actually, it was pretty slow.

It's good, but he has better plays than that every single game. Plus the goaltending lesses the cool factor a couple percentage points.

wasnt sure at first if he was worthy of being the number 1 pick in the draft, and i know its still early but its clear that he makes his team better. maybe even alot better. of course this highlight would be against my team( sixers) but even i said DAMN while i watched it. they say s... happens, well so do crossovers.

I don't know why people constantly bring up the AI on Jordan crossover. Honestly, the crossover wasn't that great; I mean, sure Jordan did reach for the ball and miss, but in no way did he fall or get sidetracked (unlike my boy Andre Miller here). He stayed in front of Iverson even after he executed the move, which is something very few players can do. Normally, Iverson would cross someone over, then proceed to get an easy layup- but not on Jordan. Iverson was forced into a contested jumpshot (that's right, Jordan was still able to contest the shot), and Iverson just happened to make it. That just shows you the type of player Jordan was, and how overrated the crossover was that AI hit on Jordan.
AI's other crossovers, however, were great, such as the one he hit on Antonio Daniels, Tyronn Lue (technically not a crossover but more of a "stepback" move), and the one he hit on a Spurs defender a few years back (can't remember his name). Not to mention the countless crossovers he did when he first came into the league.

The bottom line is Rose put a hell of a crossover on Miller. It had nothing to do with Iverson/Jordan. Lets just enjoy the ride. Rose is tough much better than I thought he would be. Now if the Bulls can at least give him one above average guy to play with him.

ai's crossover on mj was garbage in comparison to this. d rose broke them ankles and put miller down on the ground. again, down on the ground . . . on his butt.
attention haters: don't hate, instead give props when deserved.
    btw,
#9 Chubs, get a ring do crossover later. what? this makes no sense.
#15, peterEATER, he did get the layup as a result of the goaltending or basketball interferance.
