Video: Aaron Brooks is one smart cookie

Via Dime and ClutchFans, Houston Rockets point guard Aaron Brooks talks about the shoving match between the Rox and Suns on Wednesday, started by feisty Matt Barnes and hotheaded Rafer Alston.

Smart kid, that Brooks. But I would love to see his reaction to this pic ...

He'd probably faint.

Yeah, everybody always stop when Shaq comes in. LOL. "Oh no! Shaqzilla!" Shaq had to explain to the ref, he was breaking it up.

I love me some Aaron Brooks. Did you know he was going to quit basketball so that he could go to work and support his family before his senior year of college? Us Oregon alums are sure glad that he didn't.
Also, he's tiny and fast, meaning that he made the right decision on this one.

Shaq was no different than rick mahorn trying to break up the WNBA fight....he's just too damn big....he meant to just push alston out of the way not throw him into the stands....shaq should not be penalized for being a peacemaker just because of his size

The NBA world is it's own little bubble in regular society your considered not really big or small if your a 6 "0",but in the nba your considered little go figure. I'm Hispanic and live in a area that's mostly Hispanic and 6 feet tall is considered tall for a man , but only because Hispanics are generally shorter and whites or blacks.

On another note it cracks me up when ever Shaq is referred to as a big man, like i remember Bill Walton saying "shaq isn't a big man he's the biggest man on the planet".

Calling BS on Shaq. When breaking up a fight, one generally restrains one's teammates, not throwing the opposition to the floor.

The funniest part to me of this catfight was when Shaq kind of pushed Yao and Yao took nearly three minutes to fall down. Even gravity is slow with him.

the funniest thing about that skirmish was when shaq came in and made 3 pushes that resulted in like nearly every rocket on the court ending up on the floor, including yao. i guess thats how it is when you are like 7'9" and weight 800 pounds, you just make a couple of light pushes and they all fall down.

He sure was fun to watch at Oregon. Brooks reminded me of another player who was fun to watch in college: Anthony Carter.

Shaq is big and all that but he doesnt strike me as a fighter, pushing and fighting are 2 different things. shaq should be lucky someone like artest didnt break his loose hangin jaw.
