The NBA-Euro exodus continues ...

I'm trusting The Sport Count's Babelfish skills here, but MetroNews Italia is reporting that 40-year old, six-time All-Star, and baby-makin' machine Shawn Kemp has been offered a contract by Italian club Premiata Montegranaro. So, for those of you with your "NBA-Euro Bingo cards" out at home, that brings the list of players to have signed or be considering a move overseas to: Childress, Garbajosa, Delfino, Nachbar, Krstic, Brezec, Landry and Delonte West. Hopefully Reignman completes that elusive "X" you're gunning for.

    Kemp should take this deal, especially if the club agrees to handle all of his child support bills.

    If he's still got that spin move, then he's just got to work on laying it in. Don't think he'll be able to spin and dunk like he used to.

    Arrrgh. Just reading the name "Shawn Kemp" pisses me off. The guy could have been Karl Malone meets Dominique Wilkins and a Hall of Famer if he'd worked even marginally harder. Instead he got lazy and flamed out miserably by age 32.

    Shawn Kemp needs money to support all his children and feed his Big Mac appetite.
    All kidding aside I hope he performance well his career went downhill when the Sonics shafted him by sending him to then hell-hole Cleveland.

    REIGN MAN is still a FFAATT MAN!!
    there is a VERY SWEET CLIP
    of him playing in a SEATTLE TOURNAMENT..that had MANY NBA'ers
    and he was DEFINITLY gettin his burn on the POSITIVE
    and runnin and swattin and doin his thang!!

    # 15 If you are reading and commenting, you care. Otherwise you would not have clicked on the news about Kemp.
    Hey, Shawn. You have to know how to stop sowing those oats. The activity is financially depleting. Clean up and show 'em that you 've got other talents. Euroleague is giving you a chance at 40. You'd never get that chance again. Love your current kids and that's more than enough.

    Sad as it is to read, I agree with another poster here. This guy COULD and SHOULD have been something freaking amazing, but didn't have a hint of work ethic to do so. If he wants to play out the string in Europe, who's to say no? More importantly, if some Euro team wants to pay an overweight, past his prime with at best diminished skills player, let them do it. And learn the hard way (ok, I didn't mean that..however, I do think Penny can play in Europe and do well).
