    Hoffman apparently reads my mind. There is only one thing Kobe Bryant can do to prove he's not a selfish jackass who's only concern is #24...sign at a discount. Between his previous contract and Nike's megabucks, he will NEVER want for money no matter how many "sorry I sexed the white girl" rings he buys his wife.
    Kobe, you want respect? Sign for five years, $50 million, and push 15 of that to the back end of the contract. Then you can get enough firepower to, uh, prove you can win on your own...hmmm.
    No, he won't do it.
