A look around the league and the web that covers it. It's also important
to note that the rotation order and starting nods aren't always listed in order
of importance. That's for you, dear reader, to figure out.
C: Chicago
Sun-Times. Joakim Noah's college coach, Billy Donovan: "Jo's biggest problem is that he just wants to win, and when he sees
things that are getting in the way with winning he has a tendency to be
somewhat demonstrative or loud." Great. I wish his teammates were the same
way. Doesn't matter. Don't show up late to work; don't yell at your boss.
Meanwhile, the Blowtorch is cracking me up, and they
have the skinny behind the Noah suspension.
PF: Depressed
Fan. Angry blogger
writes a trade suggestion column, and the GM of his favorite team emails
him to tell him ... well, not much. Still, we like the interaction.
SF: New
York Post. Stephon Marbury may miss the rest of the season after ankle
surgery, and New York Post editors clap in unison. They're
obviously out of headline puns.
SG: Salt
Lake Tribune. The Utah Jazz party photos that we can't link to (no
complaints there, actually) are from a pretty innocuous get-together; and,
honestly, anyone who assumed anything else was being a bit daft.
PG: Louisville
Courier-Journal. Shawn Kemp's kid is well on his way to an NBA career. I'm
going to copy that last line to my clipboard for the next 24 years, just to
save time.
6th: NBAStuffer.
A pretty cool breakdown of how teams tend to do at the end of long road trips.
We're not giving away the best of the bunch, so click on the link.
7th: Sixers
4 Guidos. A borderline-offensively named 76ers blog polls NBA bloggers on
their choices for the MVP and Rookie of the Year.
8th: Local10.com. Here's your gratuitous Glen Rice link. We have to say, ten
years ago and back before Google could pick up pictures of just about anybody,
securing a shot of Christina Rice was quite the coup. SLAM!
Magazine even made a point to throw her into a late 1990s profile of Glen.
9th: Truth
About It. DeShawn Stevenson, still The Locksmith. Nice.
10th: CelticsBlog.
Calming me down when I want to scream at Danny Ainge for passing on (at the
very least) calling up a reserve point guard on a 10-day contract.
