Ball Don't Lie - NBA

A look around the league and the web that covers it. It's also important to note that the rotation order and starting nods aren't always listed in order of importance. That's for you, dear reader, to figure out.

Thanks for including the vid Skeets, obviously you can't draw too many conclusions from an intrasquad scrimmage, but I think it was good to see the Blazers out on the court again. Poor Oden has so much expectations on him right now, he's got to be nervous out there. Hopefully once he gets a few games under his belt he'll settle down, not to mention get in better game shape.

I'm watching the training camp on NBA TV for the Suns, and the two teams are: Steve Nash, Raja Bell, Grant Hill, Boris Diaw, and Shaw against Goran Dragic, Robert Hite (I think), Matt Barnes, Loius Amundson, and the Hairy Lopez

Does Khandor really think that Travis Diener is starting for the Pacers just because Bird said his name first in the interview? Everybody knows by now that Ford is the starter with Jack expected to play both guard spots off the bench. Diener and Croshere won't even be in the rotation. And what exactly is his issue with the Raptors?

How the hell can Shaq be the black Michael Phelps? He doesn't own a Gold Medal. He's jealous of Mr. Kobe Bryant, he is. Heck, even Carlos Boozer is closer to being a black Phelps. Shut up, Shaq. You're too old.

@ cookie monster: You are an idiot, and a disgrace to basketball and an insult to the U.S .A. You must be a stupid Kobe fan. You need to think before you type. Even though many Kobe fans hate Shaq, they know how to do proper research before commenting. Shaq has an olympic gold medal and a World Championship Gold medal for his country. Look it up.

a comment to isaiah t on the 16th post. a unique comination of strength, athleticism, and size....and still they came up with this idea about hack a shack, because if you get him more than 5 feet from the goal he can't hit anything!!!! especially free-throws

Why are we still even talking about Shaq? He lost relevance years ago. The sooner you, kind readers, let him go, the better off we'll all be.

Why doesnt anyone notice that Shaq got crap when he was in orlando and had no help, then get Kobe, and wins 3, then leaves for a team that had everything but a center and wins, not on shaqs stats but D-wades. what did Kobe do, well, lets see, made it to the finals WITHOUT shaq, playoffs, without shaq... HMMM, Seems that Shaq only goes where there is MORE TALENT out there cause he knows he cant do it alone.... Kobe has proven he can win alone, just not the ring. He learned he needs a team.. Now he will get that ring without shaq.....

honestly rob t? honestly. know what youre talking about. "got crap when he was in orlando and had no help."? he took them to the finals against houston. and who on that team can you name other than penny hardaway. and look what happened to him. so yeah he had nothing, and still took them to at least one #1 seedsin the playoffs, and a finals appearance. smarten up. kobe will go through the same drop off when he becomes ancient too. shaq is still one of the top 3 centers of all time. you cant tat away from him.

I cannot understand why so many disses Shaq. I mean, isn't he thinner now and loss some weight early of last season? He sure look thinner compared to his time with the 3-peating Lakers. And why so many still dissing his abilities? He is like what 37 years old now? How can anyone expect him to perform like he was 27 anymore? And stop blaming him for his fat contract. Management decided to over pay him. He will be an idiot for not accepting that kind of money. Its capitalism. You expect him to say,... "Nah! I do not think i am worth that much". Don't diss the employee. Diss the employer who decided to shell that kind of money to him. And yes, at his age, he is still one of the top 5 centers in the league!
