Ball Don't Lie - NBA

A look around the league and the web that covers it. It's also important to note that the rotation order and starting nods aren't always listed in order of importance. That's for you, dear reader, to figure out.

C: Sports Radio Interviews. Don't tell Jerry Buss, but Ron Artest(notes) says he'd play for $1 to be a Laker.
PF: KSB. "Those with credible basketball experience" know Andrea Bargnani(notes) has a long way to go.
SF: Clips Nation. Will Al Thornton(notes) start or come off the bench this season?
SG: Celtics Hub. Basketball Prospectus predicts the Celtics will rank 20th in offensive efficiency. 20th!
PG: The Baseline. I like this: Shoals' five most important players who aren't MVP candidates.
6th: The Puns Are Starting To Bore Me. Will Dwight Howard's(notes) free throws ever improve?
7th: The Knicks Blog. Nate Robinson(notes) says he'll enter the 2010 Dunk Contest if LeBron does.
8th: The Painted Area. Free predictions for picking NBA regular-season win over and unders.
9th: The Wages of Wins Journal. Can Toronto build a winner around Chris Bosh(notes)?
10th: FreeDarko. Joey, bangin': "The NBA is no less fun for me now. I continue to hoot and holler at my television, or evangelize on Twitter about the glory of Chris Douglas-Roberts(notes). But I also see a broader image than the one to which I clung as a child. The officiating can be awful. The sneakers aren't what they once were. The access to players is much better. And so forth. A panoramic approach affords the opportunity to dwell upon what's passing while still being excited about what remains going forward."

Oh Ron-Ron that is why LA loves you. Rest of the league, prepare to get owned. Celtics, Cavs, Magic, you won't know what hit you. Bringing in over-the-hill clowns will do you no good. Just hand over the Larry O'brien to us now.

Laker fans it is too early to brag! You know how the Lakers can get lethargic at times and won't win 3-4 games in a row. I hope Ron Artest can get them out of that nasty habit.

Kobe is great and i hope he smashes his nuts in Queen James face on his way to a slam dunk in the finals! I love Shaq too, but i hope Dwight Howard ownes him and makes Shaq eat every word this season.

Last time I checked the Lakers didn't have anyone who could defend Shaq except for Bynum, but you know he tends to not like playing very much in the playoffs.

i think the lakers will come out of the gate surprisingly slow then pick up speed once they figure out they still have to play 48 minutes of basketball against a professional caliber team. ron artest hasnt done much in the preseason. watch out for another payton, malone, oneal, bryant type team that loses to a younger, faster team in the playoffs

Peter A, check your math and think again - Los Angeles is much bigger than SF, SF has abaout 750K people. Studies show that Los Angeles and New York have many more gay citizens than SF.

the Lakers? LOL. . . spare me. Adding Artest won't save you. . . . you are outgunned, outmatched by a team that is deeper, bigger, and a LOT more talented especially off the bench.
get ready for the alltime matchup to be 10-2 Celtics as #18 is raised and the trophy is raised in game 4 of the Finals in Staples by the Boston Celtics.
it's funny how somethings never change.
you really think adding Artest makes you unstoppable? LOL. . . . what a joke.

Lakers fans won a tainted title playing orlando and if they played the celts it would have been just like 2008 a blowout ... artest will wreck that team like he always does ... cavs overrated ...celts will roll best bench in hoop by far ...laker fans enjoy your title cause it will be gone soon ...
