Ball Don't Lie - NBA

A look around the league and the web that covers it. It's also important to note that the rotation order and starting nods aren't always listed in order of importance. That's for you, dear reader, to figure out.

C: Inside The Lakers. To celebrate his MVP, Kobe gave each teammate an engraved Jaeger-LeCoultre watch.
PF: With Malice. The San Antonio Spurs are not a dynasty. (Um, yet.)
SF: TSN. Shoals: Spurs vs. Lakers, the series most likely to determine this year's champion, is hate central.
SG: Hoops Addict. Context is a huge part of the reason why we love or hate an athlete.
PG: NBAStuffer. Besides way too much Reggie, what's changed in the playoffs compared to the regular season?
6th: The Blowtorch. Queens of the Stone Age, Lupe and FOTC. Not a bad little Muxtape, San Antonio.
7th: ClipperBlog. Russell Westbrook's length, athleticism and on-ball defense reminds Arnovitz of Rajon Rondo.
8th: Stop Mike Lupica. David Stern and is magnetic ping pong balls saved John Paxson his job.
9th: The Jones. Rip's bow, doublin' Duncan, Tafoya, Rose and The New Pornographers. Action packed 'cast.
10th: South Forida Sun-Sentinel. Dear Pat Riley, Toronto is willing to offer you T.J. Ford, Anthony Parker and some Canadian maple syrup in exchange for your #2 draft pick. Interested? Call me. Sincerely, Bryan Colangelo.

It's a nice gesture, I'm not a real big Kobe Fan but it proves he has more class than most people think and he IS without a doubt the best player in the league. Big ups to Kobe.

Get real people. You cannot honestly think that any person that plays sports is a hero? Can you? I have been to Iraq, I spent 15 months in Iraq, I worked with heros each and everyday. Get your principles straight folks. Im no hero, but everyday I went to work, I enjoyed the pleasure of working with heros every damn day! Our job consisted of going out everyday!. We drove out and looked for the roadside bombs! Everybody needs to realize what a hero is!

he's career is coming to an end, that's why the nba gave him the award ( though not-so-deserving-one).... a "pity MVP award". He's even surprised himself.

My Heroe is Kobe Bryant. And I respect people who stood up against the American war machine and didn't go fight far more than I respect those that went over to imperialize the middle east.
