Ball Don't Lie - NBA

A look around the league and the web that covers it. It's also important to note that the rotation order and starting nods aren't always listed in order of importance. That's for you, dear reader, to figure out.

C: Sports By Brooks. Greg Oden is finally back playing basketball ... at your local gym.
PF: Palm Beach Post. This ridiculous Shaq-Riley-Steve Kerr squabble gives me a headache.
SF: The Blowtorch. Warriors coach Don Nelson teaches Monta Ellis defense using sign language.
SG: Detroit Free Press. Flip Saunders sees Rasheed Wallace as a future NBA coach. /spits chocolate milk
PG: Blue Monkey Disco Party. "Isiah Thomas, Jim Dolan and Larry Bird all walk into a bar ..."
6th: Hardwood Paroxysm. An open letter to NBA bloggers on Cuban's new "open-the-floodgates" policy.
7th: Sactown Royalty. Marion for Ron Artest, Mikki Moore, Quincy Douby and ATL's 2nd round pick. Discuss.
8th: Odenized. Gas prices have dropped significantly when Kenny Smith's not on TNT. Fact!
9th: Daily Basketball. Make up your own NBA holiday in 'Carnival of the NBA #55.'
10th: RedsArmy. The West might be the best conference, but the East has the best teams.

why the knock on sheed coaching? it'll be tough love with him, but it could work
anyone else remember a story a while back painting sheed as the smartest guy on the court? i guess the pistons were running their plays and wallace knew them all inside and out from all positions, effectively running the point
    please let this happen

This is stupid. these editors need to come up with something better to talk about.
like the beast of the east (boston), and how there isn't a single team who can beat them in 7
i'm not a boston fan, but wake up, people. its like the chicago bulls of the 90's.
there is no one out there who can beat them 4 times out of 7.

I'm sure at this point no one wants to hear from a Sonics fan but I for one am tired of these teams wanting the public to foot the bill for them to play in our city. I think that with the monies they are pulling in they should at least be willing to split the cost of the facilities and share in the added revenue. Love my sonics and will be sad to see them leave but owners please remember that we have supported our Sonics for almost 50 years. and we do deserve a team in Seattle that has willing owner ship ie: Paul Allen and the Blazers thank.

By the way, greg oden's corn-hawk is as dumb as one of the american idols. hamburglar meets godzilla and rainbrow brite at the same time.
besides, i'll bet he's the next grant hill in terms of health...

This was a stupid move on Oden's part, but he is just a kid (even if he does look like he's 35). I'm sure after the overwhelming amount of media attention this won't be a mistake he'll make again. Dwight Howard got into similar trouble for playing pick up games at the Magic's practice facility which has a public health club in it. Guys that age don't really see the investment made in them by the teams they play for. Needless to say, D12's days of playing pick up ball at the RDV Sportsplex are over.
