Ball Don't Lie - NBA

A look around the league and the web that covers it. It's also important to note that the rotation order and starting nods aren't always listed in order of importance. That's for you, dear reader, to figure out.

C: Empty The Bench. Is DeAndre Jordan the Los Angeles Clippers' center of the future, Marty?
PF: Sports Media Watch. Cavaliers games on FS Ohio are averaging a 7.7 rating through mid-January!
SF: The No-Look Pass. I had a Sega growing up — "Pat Riley Basketball" was absolutely horrible.
SG: Waiting For Next Year. Vintage photos of Bill Cowher and friends getting ready to ball, circa 1981.
PG: Hoops Head North. Statistical analysis of The Bearded Bargnani vs. The Beardless Bargnani.
6th: Ben's Suns Blog. Is Steve Nash the best player in Suns history? What about Chuck? K.J.?
7th: Rocky Mountain News, via BB.com. A great NBA prank spearheaded by Divac and Devean George.
8th: Pete Marasmitch. The iPhone: so multifunctional. Here are the top ten uses Roko Ukic finds for it.
9th: Indy Cornrows. How in the world was Pacers coach Coach O'Brien not tossed for this?
10th: Basketball Fiend. "Can you imagine Ice Cube and Joey Porter trading taunts while a high-out-of-his-mind Snoop tries to guard D. Sproles and Timberlake and [Matt] Cassel sit on the sidelines picking hotties out of the crowd? [...] Rappers vs. football players. The best celebrity All-Star game of all-time. Let’s make it happen."

From the perspective of a Clippers fan, we have true big men in Zach Randolph, Chris Kaman, and Marcus Camby. The center position is our most stacked by far. The mock draft experts are saying Clippers will go for Jordan Hill with the third pick, yeah right. Although we have Baron Davis, we need to get Ricky Rubio for his fresh explosiveness and ability to lead the team on the court. As for DaAndre, he is good trade bait along with Camby for a Grade A shooting guard. Eric Gordon is good, but he would be great coming off the bench to support a true scorer.

    they do have good players.
only if they could stay healthy. their starting 5 can be match up pretty good with almost any other team.

I'm a Lakers fan but I still support my other Los Angeles team. D.Jordan is good but when all the big men for the Clips get back on the court D.Jordan will have to ride the pine and he's lucky if he even gets to suit up. Good ball player could help the Clippers in the future if they dont trade him.

"Some of the other teams with double-digit increases in ratings include the Bulls (2.6, up 23%), Grizzlies (2.0, up 16%), Heat (2.2, up 11%) and 76ers (1.5, up 10%)."
"Other teams with big declines include the Mavericks (1.2, down 34%), Suns (3.4, down 28%), Bobcats (0.5, down 21%) and Nuggets (2.2, down 19%)"
    Hell of a link Skeets!
Now the bearded vs. non-bearded Bargnani thing should be fairly obvious here. The playoff beard in hockey and football certainly do bring good fortune to those of us who decide to man-up and give it a go (it appears my playoff mustache has helped Arizona so far this year), so to see statistics to back up our ol' folklore is a beautiful thing.

the clips should trade broke down Baron, the fake german Chris Caveman and brokeback Zack...so we can watch the growth of gordon, thorton, Jordan real clippers who really want to be there....you can tell in the body language those other three don't want to be part of this....If the clips end up with Blake Griffth they'll have a very good team..to build on like the Jail Blazers...Keep Camby to teach Jordan how to be a defensive stopper and you'll have a solid team use the draft picks to build a better team...free agency does not work for everyone
