Ball Don't Lie - NBA

A look around the league and the web that covers it. It's also important to note that the rotation order and starting nods aren't always listed in order of importance. That's for you, dear reader, to figure out

C: Blazer's Edge. "Walton combined the best attributes of John Wooden, Bob Dylan and Stephon Marbury(notes) over the course of 40 minutes."
PF:
Waiting For Next Year. LeBron's Jay-Z-heavy iTunes playlist.
SF:
Nets Are Scorching. Wasn't Terrence Williams(notes) supposed to fit right in? Not so fast.
SG:
FourPointPlay. On chucking off guards who kill your fantasy/favorite team.
PG:
The Blowtorch. Carlos Boozer's(notes) got a box!
6th:
Hoopsanalyst. Harlan Schreiber previews the Atlantic Division.
7th:
FanHouse. Kevin Durant(notes) is still chippy about the whole adjusted plus/minus thing.
8th:
HP. A little late on this, but do superstars increase the amount of team three-point attempts?
9th:
CelticsBlog. Doc Rivers is trying to put it all together.
10th:
The Baseline. When the idea of the Atlanta Hawks comes up, Shoals thinks "Thin Lizzy." I don't, because I actually really, really like Thin Lizzy.

The plus minus thing against Kevin Durant is retarded! The stat geeks that have never dunked a basketball in their lives get to front like they are relevant and feel important. They degrade a guy like KD over some statistical analysis. Pathetic. How dare they say that he is killing a team. I would take Durant over Oden every time and i'm a Blazer fan.

hey kelly, I am normally just checking out this post for hoops opinion, but I am blown away by the "Don't Believe a Word" citation. However, as much as I too adore Thin Lizzy, for me the authoritative rendition is Gary's Monsters of Rock recording at Glasgow.
Oh yeah, while we're talking about basketball, since you weren't the blogger at the center of the Durant +/- debate, why are you getting slammed for it (see other comments posted so far)?

Lebron needs to diversify his music collection. Everyone knows that putting two songs by the same artist on the same mix is completely unacceptable.

Love Bill Walton. When I first started hearing him broadcast, I hated him, but he seemed to grow more and more comfortable in the position, aware of his superlatives, and he became almost self-deprecating about it all. Great sense of humor, great knowledge of basketball. I wish I could have seen his talk in Portland in person.
We're better off with Bill in the booth, so here's to good health.

Cheryl Lynn's "Encore" (produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis) was infinitely better before Jay-Z got his lazy chops on it.

please support! hopefully we can get at least a 1000 credible hits. please write legit comments.
comment on Dwyer's actually incompetence in blogging (don't just comment on his bias towards a certain player. We are targeting his core skills in writing)
Ex. his amateurish way of just pulling up numbers and sticking them on his blog. (real basketball writers watch basketball and give their own experiences from the games they see)

If you don't like it, don't read it. No-one is forcing you. KD fits in pretty well, a good addition to BDL.

Don't like Dwyer? Don't read Dwyer.
It's not about your silly little petition.
It's about your brain's ability to send chemical/electrical messages to the hand that controls your computer's mouse. If your hand is clicking on Dwyer's posts against your will, don't depend on a petition to cure your medical condition, go see a neurologist.

Maybe get off your high horse Dwyer and actually take a look at the product the Hawks are putting on the floor this season before you keep bashing a team that is definitely on the rise. The Hawks finally have a bench this year that is as good as just about any other team in the league. I think they will probably be a 2 or 3 seed out of the east when it's all said and done.
