Monday to Friday, The Basketball Jones look at the big games and story lines from the night before with a mix of in-depth analysis and irreverent humor. As always, questions and comments are appreciated.
.
On today's show, Tas and I discuss a few of the Nuggets' lucky breaks, LA's complacency, the choice to let Derek Fisher(notes) hoist the last shot, Carmelo Anthony's(notes) place amongst today's greats and whether Jameer Nelson(notes) will get burn if the Magic make the Finals.

This my 2nd time writing this blog. the first time I got kicked off the site.
That don't make sense to me, have you ever been kicked outta yahoo sports blog for telling the truth?
Throughout these entire playoffs refs have been blowing calls. I sat in the United Center for 2 of the games in that Bulls Celtics series. And it was clear that someone told the refs not ot make certain calls for certain teams.
Brad Miller gets bloodied and needs stitched and its not a flagrant. Some higher up has told the refs to calls these playoffs a certain way and that's what they're doing.
The refs blew so many critical calls yesterday that hurt the Lakers ( and this was BEFORE the clear jumpball violation) . I thought the home team was supposed to get all the calls. Everytime Billups drove the lane a foul was called. But when Kobe came fown the baseline then spun and got hacked across his arms, no call.
The reason is simple David Stern needs to cash in as much as he can during these hard times and what greater way than dramatic series after dramatic series. Any body with good eyesight and can afford to attend a game will agree with me. How can a ref miss such an easy call standing 5 ft away?
Easy cuz the NBA is evolving into the WWE and I really hate to say that, but its getting to the point where I know who'll win and how every game will play out in the last 2 minutes.
The only other game I can do this with is WWE.

Isn't a ref doing time for changing the outcome of the games? And this was recent. So why are you surprised that they will not do a such a thing.

1) Carlo is an idiot.
2) Fisher didn't airball... Nene got a hand on it.

If the Cavs are getting so frustrated they're THROWING BALLS at players, um... they will NEVER HAVE A CHANCE against the intensity and the abilities of EITHER of the Western Conference Finals' contestants. The Nuggets will push you around and play such tight defensive on you that you... well, we all see how frustrated Kobe gets. And the lakers - the lakers can get inside a team's head. The Cavs have not even come close to coming up against the sheer intensity and explosiveness of the Lakers or the Nuggets.

Boxing
Horse racing
MMA
.....are at the top of the list.
It's funny when somebody's team gets beat.
The excuses ring out,.."It was fixed!"
A big Brontosaurus took a dump in my yard the other day and ITS newer than the 'fixed' excuse.
