Ball Don't Lie - NBA

As most of you know, I co-host a daily NBA podcast at The Basketball Jones. This season, for reasons unknown, Tas, JD and I have decided to try our luck with video. As always, questions, comments and feedback are appreciated. Hit us up.

On today's show, Skeets Tas and I revel in the Northwest battle, weigh in on some candid Oden comments, take a look at your t-shirt designs and name a new "Wanker of the Week." Embrace it.

Ridnour got those votes from the Starbury campaign, but the stupid ass league most likely didn't include marbury's votes.

By the way, I think it's pretty silly to get upset at the All Star voting. Since only the top 2 guards/forwards and top centers get in, does it really matter whether third place is Dirk or Luke Walton? I have no idea why Luke Ridnour is getting so many votes but it's kinda irrelevant.

Let's see you guys put some effort into learning to pronounce things associated with the TrailBlazers. Such as oh I don't know, maybe just the state and newspaper that they reside in. Say it like this (Robert) HORRY, and then (players shouldn't carry) GUN get it HORRYGUN now say it three times quickly and commit it to memory. I know that the paper should be the same way but, the paper is HORRY GON (rhymes with tone) IUN. Skeets lost that one big time. Thanks. I at the same time, am glad that they get so much mention on your show. Keep up the good work.

Good stuff...and the voting his absolutely horrendous. This has become a problem in the past couple years and it should be looked at. I think we, as knowledgable fans, need to vote more often. Ridinour and Yi.....just a shame...

I was a little disappointed that you didn't get to talk about the Celtics as mentioned in the lead in.
"Is this Celtic team the best Celtic team ever?" I am guessing the question came up because of the quick start and the fact that they broke the team record for best start ever. Anyway....As a long time Celtics fan my quick answer is NO! However, with that said, if they do it again this year, maybe they would get my vote. I love this team and especially their defensive intensity. And they have won a championship. You can't even start a discussion about a Boston team being the best without at least one championship under their belt. But my vote still goes to the '86 Celtics. Bird, McKale, Parrish, Dennis Johnson, and Danny Ainge as the starters. But what made them great was Bill Walton coming off the bench. Along with an assortment of role players that did a fantastic job. They were 40-1 at home that year and won the Championship. And right now, my second choice would be the '66 Celtics. All Hall of Famers and an awesome team. Anyway, that is my take so far. But the season is young. Let's see what this year brings!
