Get ready for two more years of grainy Getty Images and YouTube clips, people. According to Charley Walters of the Pioneer Press, the flashy young Spaniard has decided to play out his European contract in Spain:
The Minnesota Timberwolves' top draft pick, Ricky Rubio(notes), 18, will remain in Spain to play for his DKV Joventut basketball team for the remaining two years of his contract rather than try to move to the NBA this season, El Periodico reported today.
The Barcelona newspaper also says Rubio, who was paid $97,000 last season, plans to withdraw his contract lawsuit against DKV Joventut.
Pour out a little shaving cream for your draft pick, Minnesota.

The Wolves can wait for him two more years. If he continue to perform well in the Euro League, he could be utilize by the Wolves or use as a trade bait.
Trouble for the kiddo is that after two more years the cold weather in Minnesota will still be freezing cold inspite of the global warming. Mama Rubio would still object of his beloved nino joining the Wolves!
