President Obama predicts Lakers in six

We've heard from our SB Nation team experts, and we've heard from Ball Don't Lie President of Basketball Operations Kelly Dwyer ... now it's time to hear from The President.

Right before boarding the Marine One helicopter for the Middle East, President Barack Obama was asked by a media member as to who he thought was going to win the NBA championship, the Los Angeles Lakers or the Orlando Magic?

"Lakers in six, I think," he said smiling.

Worth noting: the basketball-obsessed Obama correctly predicted that the University of North Carolina men's basketball team would win the NCAA championship. He called the Super Bowl, too. His track record is flawless.

I, for one, can't wait to see what Dwight Howard blogs about this slight.

I don't know.... I personal would like to see Kobe win a ring without shaqtastic... But I think the Magic are a little more battle tested this playoff run and we'll be to much in the paint for the Lakers to win 4 outta 7...If Bynum. Odom and Gasol can control the rebounds and protect that paint they'll be fine.. but if not.. this series could be over fatser then people think.

Lets not give the President to much credit for calling sports...NC was clearly the best team in college basketball at the time, it would have been shocking if they didn't win... As for the Superbowl, its 50/50, its not like he predicted the Steelers to win it at the beginning of the season...I will say if he does get this right, I will be fairly impressed but I am going to go Magic in 6.

Walter E - Does your mom know you are on the Internet right now? Remember kids under the age of 16 need permission from their parents before they can get on the computer. Leave the blogging to people with rational thought processes.

Walter E - thats...sad, man. Is this the highlight of your life? Calling a blogger gay even though it's HIS blog? Get out, man. Read a book. Shoot some hoops. Go to lunch or something.

The Wiz - I agree with you about NC. Pretty easy to pick them. In fact, I cut the finals off after the 1st half. I knew it was going to be like that. I don't think the Lakers are the same though because Orlando is a good matchup - just HIGHLY underrated. Obama is just bandwagoning.

Emperor S - I have actually thought that Orlando was the best team in the East hands down regardless of their record. Celtics fell apart after they lost Garnett, Cavs finally run into a good team in the playoffs and they lose. Orlando has been consistenly strong throughout the season and playoffs. I think this will be a very good and competitive series and like you said I don't believe Orlando is getting the credit and respect they deserve.

if Obama believes that he could have Bernanke put down $500 billion on the 2:1 "Lakers in 6" line and clear up the budget deficit

Walter E - First off, you unintelligent nuisance of a blogger, I don't like Lebron James and I'm not a cavs fan, you moron. Are you really that bored that you want your comments to be deleted and be a pest to everyone on the blog. I would suggest you to get this thing that most people call a "life" and do something with it.

Walter E you need some serious help. Aside from having a man crush on Skeets & LeBron you probably like to cut your self too huh? Maybe sit in a dark corner, rocking back and forth, putting lip stick on over and over again. IDK, its cool if your into that kind of stuff. Not sure where you live but maybe you should go for a walk, get some fresh air. Hell you may even meet a GIRL!
Wait! Maybe its the fact that your hot for Kobe and a little insanely jealous of the attention that LeBron is getting. Did that MVP thing make you lose it?? Its ok man, life goes on. Skeets isnt going to write about some 3rd stringer sitting on the bench somewhere in New Jersey. You really think he or someone else for that matter isnt going to write about the MVP of the league and how his team beat the crap out of teams in the first to rounds. Open your eyes douche bag! Pull your head outta Kobes a$$. LeBron is everywhere. I dont hear you b*tchin about Nike, Statefarm, Vitamin water, Spirte, ect, ect, ect.
