Photo fun: Ron Artest in Rockets red

On Monday, GM Daryl Morey and co. officially introduced Ron Artest to the Houston Rockets fans with a little midday rally at the Toyota Center. A throng of about 500 diehards cheered Ron-Ron's every word. (Update: Watch the video, courtesy of ClutchFans.)

After the meet-and-greet, Ron donned his new Rockets red uniform to take a few pictures. The color really brings out his crazy eyes.

And if you guessed there are more pictures of Artest rebounding like Dennis Rodman after the jump, you guessed correctly. Enjoy.

Note: I'll have another Artest-rally photo for Create-a-Caption up shortly, so start making your funnies.

    Clutch City is back as a contender; Now we just need a legit backup power forward and a solid backup for Rafer.

    Rafer, McGrady, Ron, Scola, Yao. How sick does that sound? I guess they could also bump Ron to the 4 and replace Scola with Battier. Not sure exactly what it will look like, but either way it should be a great year. Don't forget about Mutombo, Landry (assuming he signs), Francis, Luther, Aaron, and the other addition Brent Barry! I mean it SOUNDS like we should make it to the western conference finals at least right?!

    Finals for the Rockets? That's crazy talk! This team is lucky if they all remain healthy by the allstar break.
    McGrady=back injury
    Yao=foot, toe, ankle, you name it
    Scola=back to reality
    Rafer=ha ha ha
    Ron=okay, he'll be fine
    Wildo, keep dreaming kid!!!

    and what bandwagon are you riding matt, the celtics? if the rockets can have a 55-27 5th place western standing with what we had last year (no Yao for half that), then having lost pretty much no one and gained an all star, it's fairly obvious we're guaranteed a playoff spot. either you jump on the bandwagons or you're a delusional dallas fan. if that's the case, I would be crying too ;)

    This Rockets team is going to surprise all you people who make stupid comments. The other teams in the league realize now Houston will be the team to beat in the West. Congratulations Houston on getting Ron Artest..!
