Paul Davis will get dunked on for dollars

For those of you who were wondering if Clippers center Paul Davis minds being dunked on by Dwyane Wade in that annoying-as-hell Gatorade commercial, the answer is ... nup. From the LA Times:

"I got a call from my agent wondering if I wanted to do a commercial with [Wade] and I said, 'Yeah' " Davis said.

"He said, 'The only thing is . . . you kind of, sort of, get dunked on.' "

"I said, 'Well how much is it for?' And he told me and I said, 'I'll get dunked on for that.' "

You'd never see classy types like Jerome Kersey and Corie Blount sell out like that:

    I dont mind getting dunked on for a lotta money. Just not during a real game. Then its the other way around and for no money.

    I think thats good that he got paid, until now i didnt know who the hell pual davis was anyway. the point is, is that he got some money, it really aint matter if he got finger-rolled on it was cash involved and everybody know cash is king!!!

    do none of you watch college basketball? he was one of the best players in the last michigan state final four team. you don't know him because he's been in the nba for about two seconds.

    I had to read some of these comments three times before I could even begin to understand what the person who wrote it was trying to say. Do you fill out job applications like this? Is it not cool to begin sentences with a capital letter and end them with a period? Yo, whatevah...

    You're fighting a losing battle, Ryan A. Slang is an integral part of the development of the English language, a language that, like all others, transforms over time. Your speech would have been virtually incomprehensible to Chaucer, say. As irritating as the young ones are, no doubt chmpioners of the lazy phonetic spelling movement (who wouldn't rather type '4' than go through the trauma of typing 'f-o-r'? It can't be that it's easier to type a number, it takes longer to find 4 than to bash out the for. Some other element is at work here. And now back to our regularly scheduled condescending and pretentious lecture...), they do serve a purpose.

    Dwyer does it again. a whole lot of blogs and crap to show for it...Didn't know who Paul Davis was, in that commercial, which was blurry except for Wade's face, that could've been Brad Miller for all I knew. So tell me Dwyer, is Paul Davis giving himself a bad rep or did YOU just give him a bad rep? Write about something real woman!
