Mehmet Okur likes more turkey than you

Ross Siler of the Salt Lake Tribune
, via Detroit Bad Boys:

"Great quote from Mehmet Okur, who was asked if he celebrates Thanksgiving at the pregame shootaround. 'No we don’t. I like turkey, though,' he said, before adding. 'Country first, then bird.'"

And on that note, I'm off. (To order Swiss Chalet, of course!) We'll be back in the mix on Friday with some intermittent Ball Don't Lie fun. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Embrace that canned cranberry sauce!

Anyone else notice that the Pilgrims are feeding the starving Indians? I'm pretty sure that's not how the first Thanksgiving played out... Happy Detroit Lions get they tails kicked Day!

You know, the first meal for such an occasion was held in St. Augustine, Florida, by Spaniards. I'm thinking Rudy Fernandez is the guy to ask, really.

Oh curtis, just my thoughts, you know where I copied: The china man built the rail road, the indians saved the pilgrims, and in return the pilgrims killed them. I call your holiday hell day. But that's just me.
