ok 1st thing that was unreal that put the a in amazeing!!!! if that was real that was that man super human. kobe you the man.. ok #2 what was you thinking if u did not make that jump are season would be in the tank season over...but i hope at least that was the off season maybe..#3 ronnie T THE NEXT TIME THE STAR PLAYER ON THE TEAM

If you pause the start of the jump you clearly see, that what Kobe did was to jump with the car moving on the background! He was standing much closer to the camera then the path of the car. That being said, the jump was high enough.

it's pretty clear that the car wasn't passing in the background. before the jump, kobe is standing almost on top of the shadow of a lamp, and the car passes over the same shadow.
(that's not to say that it's real, it's just more likely a composite of two shots -- kobe jumping and a car driving past -- than one shot with the car in the background.)

Kobe is the M.V.P. But the jump was not over the car, he was jumping from the side of the car.... slow the video down and you will see this, Great plug for his shoes........

It must be a fake, but it is done VERY well. The shadows are correct and Kobe and the car are in the same path, because you can see the shadow of a sign or light or something which aligns them.
But how does the car gets up to 50 mph in the first place with so little space to the left of the shot, and then turn around and comes back in six seconds (time it). We don’t hear a thing, but are supposed to believe that a car going 50 mph can stop without making a noise and turn around and come back in six seconds. To do it this fast wouldn’t it screech? And is there enough space to do it in one circle, or would it have to make several maneuvers?
