Kobe Bryant gets tossed

Looks like someone wanted to catch a little bit of the Oscars last night ...

In case you're watching on a five-inch computer monitor, yes, that was Kobe Bryant getting the boot in the third quarter of the Lakers' 111-91 win over the Sonics. Mamba picked up two quick techs for hissing at referee Brian Forte that he was fouled while going for an offensive rebound.

The Lakers were up 31 points at the time. Three. One.

You don't even want to know what this man did when he heard 'Enchanted' was shut out of the Best Song category.

I'd like to know when the last time Kobe was ejected from a regular season game. I think he was tossed during the playoffs, but I think he's held his cool pretty well over his career. This was very un-Kobe-like.

Kobe has plenty of cases where he got fouled and the refs doesnt call it. It's actually surprising that he kept his cool most of time even though those fouls were blatantly obvious. Unless you're dwyane wade of course lol.

I love Kobe for the intensity even if they were killing the other team...even if he's suspended for throwing his arm sleeve.

it just shows how kobe took every game seriously. should have included in the video the part where kobe thought he was fouled thought.

That is crap by the refs, Kobe gets fouled all the time. Right now he is ranked fifth in in FT attempts. That's 28 less than james and 30 less than Richard Jefferson? That just proves the blatant discrimination by the refs how come R-Jeff gets to the Line more than Kobe not possible!!

Anyone else notice how nobody (including Phil Jackson) broke a sweat after the ejection. And, how Phil sat both Lamar and Pau for the fourth quarter. I don't know how you can look past the talent, resiliency, and athleticism the Lakers have, but look at the genius. Kobe sits the fourth+ out with a double-double (via assists, 10 of them), Lamar sits the fourth out with a double-double (good streak LO), and Pau leads the team in scoring.....these guys are gonna be just as rested as Andrew and Ariza come the playoffs. Good job Phil and the bench.

man you got to love Kobe's competitive edge, up like 30 plus points and still is pretty intense about the game.. just got to admire that. Kobe does get fouled allot but refs always let it go sometimes although I seen Kobe gets calls most players don't get. however if I were to count the calls he doesn't get..it would definitely out weight the calls that no one else gets.

I dont think it was a big deal that he was ejected because the game was a blow out. However on the replay, I cant see how the ref didnt see Kobe get fouled. I know a lot of times, TV doesnt show replays to not hurt the refs for a non or missed call. But Kobe was fouled twice, over the back and across his arms. Bad call Ref.

even media is against kobe. they will vote lebron as mvp this season. when kobe was a scoring 35pts a night they said he belongs to a poor team. when he is now on the best team, they say lebron is mvp because lebron is very good individually. u know what, kobe should be mvp every year

He just wanted to hit the showrs early. That was the only legal way to do it. It would be a snub if he just simply walked out since it was a blowout. It's just like calling in sick....

Lebron is overrated!!! he would be a sub .500 team in the west. and everybody knows it. Nobody just wants to say it. KOBE IS THE TRUE MVP. He will always be the best player in the NBA til Lebron can learn to play some one on one D.
