Outside of maybe John Farnham's "Break The Ice" and The Roots' "Double Trouble," no song is more kick ass than Frankenstein composer John Tesh's "Roundball Rock," known better to most people as that old NBA on NBC theme that went "dun dun duuuun, dun dun duuuuuuuun, dun-dun ..."
Well, guess what? Tesh has dusted off the ol' 45 and is now challenging all rappers, breakers and ball players to show him what you got, pretty ladies. A cool $20,000 is on the line. Here's Tesh-tizzle with the facts:
Once again, the contest rules are very simple:
1: Download John's "Roundball Rock Remix" track. (.mp3)
2: Record your best rap, dance or basketball moves using the new "Roundball Rock Remix" as the video's music bed. (A few rap subject ideas to get you stated: intelligence for your life, pets, purpose driven radio, random intelligence — I swear to God I'm not making these up.)
3: Submit your video entry to John's Facebook Fan page — 7,000-plus fans? Look at you, Mr. Popular! — by June 30.
4: ???
5: Profit.
Yep, it's that easy. Good luck beating Scalabrine. (NSFW lyrics)
