It truly is up to the individual as to where your hopes start and where your reality ends up. Sure, there are mitigating factors that get in the way, but if you dream big enough, the approximation that is your personal reality might satiate enough to keep you serene.

And in this corner, it's Jason Terry(notes) in a whirlpool that he doesn't have to pay for, pointing to an NBA championship trophy tattoo that he has a chance to win by his own hand (though he, sadly, missed a good look at a three-pointer late in Sunday's Game 3), while perusing a duPONT Registry ("The World's Premier Luxury Marketplace") catalog because he likes luxury.

Someday, we all will live this dream.
