Apropos of nothing -- which has never stopped me before -- here's a quirky video of Portland Trail Blazers center Greg Oden out buying eggs and perusing People magazine at his local supermarket.

Cooking on the George Foreman grill, his love of strawberry milk, the Ron Burgundy quote ... YouTube commenter "ItsALeagueGameSmokey" is right: G.O. is approaching legend status before he's even played in an official NBA game.

    Fans in Portland are very excited, and can't wait for October. We'll rename our arena "The Garden of Oden" next season.
