Game to pay attention to: Suns vs. 76ers

Phoenix at Philadelphia

We know what kind of year Steve Nash(notes) is having (around 18 per game, 12 assists), and we're aware of what kind of year his Phoenix Suns are enjoying. You're probably aware that the Philadelphia 76ers are a .500 team, that Sam Dalembert tries a lot of shots that he probably shouldn't, and that Elton Brand(notes) is looking more and more like Sharone Wright with every passing day.

But take a gander at Louis Williams(notes).

15 points per game, and about 10 combined assists and rebounds per contest. He's making 49 percent of his shots, and in an offense that often asks you to create a pin-point two-hand bounce pass from 22 feet away, deep into traffic, Lou is averaging just 1.3 turnovers a game.

Nash played last night, Williams did not. Safe to say, as well, Nash has a few years on Williams. Or is that the other way around?

It's an early start, and the dreaded final game of the road trip for the Suns. The Suns, who are pretty old, but also pretty well prepared by that magical training staff.

Early start, and on NBA TV. I suggest you give it a go.

All stats courtesy of Basketball-Reference.com

Phoenix Suns: 6-1, 98.4 possessions per game (second fastest in the NBA), 111.4 points per 100 possessions (fifth in the NBA), 106.1 points allowed per 100 possessions (15th).

Philadelphia 76ers: 3-3, 92.7 possessions per game (16th), 105.7 points scored per 100 possessions (17th), 109.6 points allowed per 100 possessions (23rd).

my two fav teams since the days of kevin johnson...sixers get the edge since i was born in west philly...not that it matters..i can't even watch nba anymore...if it is not fixed...it may as well be with all the so called super star calls...i watched a game where pierce just yelled out ...no one was near him and he goes to the line...then lebron called a foul on the sixers to go to the line and the refs said okay, foul...then he laughed hysterically as he hit them and beat us....nba....fixed and broke at the same time...it is like pro wrestling at this point

sweet lou's got a great game. and yeah, even with brand playing poorly, sammy d. just existing, and my favorite sleeper SF/PF not quite doing as well as i'd hoped, the sixers are getting by.

I clicked the "Report Abuse" link on number six, and was presented with this big form to fill out. Screw that... Yahoo can figure it out for itself.

Why did the 76ers take out Holiday? He was scoring , assit., and doing what he does the best defense!! The last minutes in the game Williams could not make a shot cept the layups which the Suns where giving away. Go with the rookie he has it going on and so much energy to put it all out there. 4 Shame coach.
