Ball Don't Lie - NBA

Warriors coach Don Nelson has been awarded $6.3 million as a result of winning his breach-of-contract claim against Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. Tim Kawakami caught up with Nelson from his home in Maui, and as you can imagine, the laid-back old-timer was quite happy: "I don't feel like I won a lottery or anything, because it's money that was owed to me. I'm just getting what I already earned. Good to get it, though. ... [Cuban] just wanted to make life difficult for me. It's like a pimple on his behind. But it was a big number for me."

I read that he talked to the Warriors about the upcomming season, when he still was the Mavericks coach and at that time no one in Dallas knew that Nellie would quit... That's strange!

Wasn't he at least a year removed from the Dallas job before he came back to Golden State? I had heard that Mullin pretty much hit him up out of the blue but Nellie had already decided he would coach either the Warriors or the Kings if asked.
I don't mind Cuban... but I love how we've pwned that franchise. The Warriors deserve more credit for exposing the Mavs than Miami.

The long term effects of the stress Nellie went through during the dispute are going to be damaging. Once again....Mark Cuban wins! Health is more important than money sonnnnn!!!!!

If $6.3 millions is just a "pimple" from behind and not a boil, Cuban is really filthy rich! Lol!

Okay this is off topic but what do you think of this deal. Josh Smith and Speedy Claxton for Lamar odom and 2 2nd round picks. ( Constructive only )

Rather than Josh Smith and Speedy Claxton, I would take a first-round draft pick for Lamar Odom. It must be maddening coaching an inconsistent Lamar. His biggest problem is concentration and consistency. He has all the physical tools but is an off-and-on player.

I think Cuban is jinxed. He can't win in any court; basketball or judicial.
