Warriors coach Don Nelson has been awarded $6.3 million as a result of winning his breach-of-contract claim against Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. Tim Kawakami caught up with Nelson from his home in Maui, and as you can imagine, the laid-back old-timer was quite happy: "I don't feel like I won a lottery or anything, because it's money that was owed to me. I'm just getting what I already earned. Good to get it, though. ... [Cuban] just wanted to make life difficult for me. It's like a pimple on his behind. But it was a big number for me."

I don't mind Cuban... but I love how we've pwned that franchise. The Warriors deserve more credit for exposing the Mavs than Miami.
