Cavaliers unveil third throwback, fifth jersey of the season

To celebrate the success of the Cavaliers official social network CavFanatic.com, and in honor of the Daniel "Boobie" Gibson Bobblehead Night, LeBron James and friends will don a special blue version of their yellow "Hardwood Classics" retro jerseys Wednesday vs. the Bobcats. Careful with that talcum powder, LeBro!


For those of you counting — or buying — along at home, "new blue" now makes five different jersey combinations the Cavaliers will have sported this season. (Six, if you count Ziller's creepy "Crab Dribble" threads — they wore those in my dreams once.)

Keep up this pace, Cleveland, and you'll be playing in tiny red underwear by February.

    Oh no, not another one. But that will distract the Cats. Damn, I thought they'd win. And I beg to see some Cavs in those red boxers from 83. That ought to be fun. Just wonder for who... Me? Not.

    Coming soon, throwback sweats that look like leisure suits. Hope they're lime green.
    Please not that "leisure" is one of the exceptions to the rule: I before E except when in a banner headline or followed by Q.

    That's a big dream hottaman. Lebron is one pragmatic person who wants to get championships. As things stand now, that's mighty impossible with the current New York crop, unless they pull a rabbit out of a magic hat. Like what was done last year by the Celtics

    estradaman, the Cavs of recent, even with LeBron, have regularly struggled against the Knicks, even as the Knicks have been horrible. If you can't beat them convincingly on the court, create a buzz that gets them to disassemble their team for two years and enjoy the new ease in creaming them (and as it turns out just about everyone else). LeBron is a b-ball genius, but his vision extends well beyond the court. He's a business genius too. I would not want to face LeBron in a hostile takeover. He'd not only take your company, but he'd memorialize the taking on a pair of shoes and sell those too. Hint: don't believe the hype. There is almost nothing attractive to LeBron about the Knicks, just NYC itself. Hey, I love New York, but the Knicks...nah. Who in their right mind would want to step down into an organization like that? Think about it. You've been suckered!
