Ball Don't Lie - NBA

Now that All-Star Weekend is over, it's time to wrap up Ball Don't Lie's hypothetical Two-on-Two All-Star Tournament. (No idea what I'm talking about? Click here.) Only four — count 'em, four! — teams remain. Who you got? Vote away, champions ...

Final Four Match-up: Tony Parker and Tim Duncan vs. Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge.

How the Spurs got here: Defeated the Rockets' McGrady and Yao (with 57% of the vote), the Kings' Martin and "Shock" (84%) and the Mavericks' Kidd and Nowitzki (67%).

How the Blazers got here: Defeated the Lakers' Kobe and Gasol (with 54% of the vote), the Thunder's Durant and Green (66%) and the Hornets' Paul and West (54%). What a tournament run!

Hypothetical rules: Half-court, offense calls the fouls, "winners out" to eleven (by ones and twos, natch), and you've got to win by two. Also, no jeans allowed.

And if you're in a creative mood, leave us a short description of how you see this game unfolding. Who jumps out to the early lead? Who nails the game winner? Break it down, Marv.

Voting will remain open until late Thursday night, ET.

POLLS CLOSED / WINNER: Roy and Aldridge with 69% of the 2,962 votes.

Since the offense calls the fouls, as soon as the Spurs get the ball this game is done. Still, Duncan is tough to guard, but so is Aldridge, now that his outside shot is almost a gimme. Parker and Roy would be tough to call, I think that Parker is quicker, but Roy is a better defender and shooter. I give it the Blazers -- if only because I'm from Rip City!

I'm still trying to figure out how the Blazers got past the Lakers.....Spurs by default....and then they get beat down badly by the Cavs in the finals.

This contest is just like NBA Jam. Totally unrealistic. But boy am i sure glad that internet-saavy blazer fans can tap that proverbial A-button faster than anyone else. Yay team!

Tim Duncan and Tony Parker have decided that since this tournament doesn't involve the rest of their team mates coupled with fact that there are no refs to bail them out with terrible playoff calls, they aren't interested. Why it took them three 2 on 2 games to realize this can be directly attributed to the fact that Eva Longoria was is the stands for the first three games. She got bored and left and Timmy and Tony crashed back to reality. While this was happenning B Roy and Lamarcus scored 11 straight. Game Blazers.

Haha im sorry but there is no way possible the blazers would ever beat the lakers. Gasol is better than Aldridge and Kobe is much better than Roy but you got to give credit to the Blazer fans for making sure their team won this fake tourney. Congrats guys.

    Parker and Duncan wins 13-11
Parker has the ball from the three point line and when he takes the ball to the hoop with full speed, Roy will be unable to keep up with out fouling and no way Aldridge leaves Duncan. Eventually Parker gets tired running to the hole, and when this happens Roy is able to capitalize and start making beautiful jumpers and post up Parker. At the the other end Aldridge has no chance guarding Duncan especially when he kisses the bank shot from the left side of the floor over and over. And when Aldridge has the opportunity, he'll dribble around the court hoping to get Duncan out of the paint and if he does he'll drive in but Duncan will only do that maybe once or twice. So, when it comes down to it, spurs win this one.

Spurs will get the lead 3 - 0 by a few Tim Duncan bank shots. Then on a subsequent miss, B-Roy will break Tony's ankles. Parker will be carried off by Eva. Manu subs in, after applying some Rogaine Foam to his bald spot. Carelessly not rinsing his hands, he throws a sloppy pass to Tim which gets picked up by L.A. L.A. jams it in Duncan's face. Rest of the game is constant B-Roy / L.A. action. Watching from the sidelines, Pop starts complaining like he did about the Gasol trade to the Lakers.

blazers all the way. who else is gonna take the game winning shot? B-ROY! stick the ball in his hands and he'll put it in the bucket. Lamarcus is a young version of Timmy D. can play in the block but can shoot the outside. He'd get timmy to step out and then school past him for the DUNK! BOOOOMSHAKALAKA!

God Laker Fans a re a shameless group. Luckily for the the world DOES revolve around L.A. All the big heads in that town must create quite a gravitational pull. - "Haha im sorry but there is no way possible the blazers would ever beat the lakers. "
Pull your head out of your A "Bibz714" Your team is soon to be garbage, just like the rest of the heap that is your town. Way to put your lifes hopes on the shoulders of an adulterer and criminal.

It is true that if the offense gets to call their own fouls, the Spurs would either score or be fouled on every possession, usually accompanied by a grotesque look of shock upon their faces about the heinous severity of the foul recently committed on them. Luckily, Blazers start with the ball and set up Aldridge out on the iso. Brandon Roy proceeds to man-handle little Tony Parker and takes a pass on a cut and throws it down 10 straight times. Then, in the final possession, Roy posts up Tony on the shoulder, when Aldridge proceeds to feed it to him through the legs of Duncan. Aldridge then runs around sloth-like Duncan and gets the return bounce pass from Roy, and Aldridge follows up with a huge two handed jam, shattering the glass NBA Jam Style. In the end, Duncan has an astonished look on his face, horrified that Aldridge didn't use the backboard to make the shot and Tony is equally appalled that Roy and Aldridge already ate all his cheese and wine and smoked his celebratory cigarettes.

This is bs how Roy and Aldridge beat Kobe and Gasol. Roy is not better than Kobe yet and Aldridge is far from Gasol. 2 All-Stars vs. 1

Parker and Duncan, utterly dumbfounded at the thought of not having to play the lakers decide they would rather play G-E-I-C-O than continue with this travesty of a tournament.
