BDL in the Easy: Bloopers all around
You're not going to believe this -- wait, yes you are -- but I missed my connecting flight to New Orleans earlier this afternoon because -- get this -- my plane left five minutes early. Early! You cannot make this stuff up, people.
I was sitting one section over from my boarding gate so I could plug my laptop into an open outlet, when lo-and-behold, I noticed I had about 15 minutes to go before my flight's scheduled departure. OK, no worries, right?
I quickly pack up my things, stroll over to the gate -- with trusty Claiborne in hand -- and get out my ticket. Woops! My plane is freakin' gone! Before it's departure time! Omigodomigodomigod ... David Stern must've called this in! He fears my bobcat questions!
So, yeah, here I am stuck in the Charlotte airport, watching Shaquille O'Neal air balls, just praying that my standby ticket gets me on one of the later flights to the Big Easy. Life is grand.
Gah. I am an idiot. Stay tuned ...

Btw, if you can make it there, Mid City Lanes Rock and Bowl is the spot. Concert space downstairs with live music all the time and $2 Abita drafts. And the old style plastic scoring sheets, no computers.
