BDL Live Blog: USA vs. China

The United States' entry into the Men's Basketball tourney of the 2008 Summer Games from the city of Beijing in the People's Republic of China ... you know what? Let's leave the reverent intro for some other Sunday.

Team USA is taking on China, featuring Yao Ming, Yi Jianlian, Wang ZhiZhi, and a Magic Johnson-clone who is sure to be a guest on Jimmy Kimmel's set at least three times by August of 2009. Skeets and I will be live blogging the game, and you're more than welcome to throw a comment or 23 our way. Our special guest? The legendary Tas Melas, and the genesis of that description is not a case of irreverence seeping through. Tucked-in Tas will be in the house, yo.

For the stateside viewers, the game will tip off on NBC around 10:15 in the East, that's in the morning, and it will be live. See you then. 

UPDATE: West Coast viewers will not be getting this game live, and while we all can agree that this is a frustrating move on NBC's part, we don't have much to give you by way of legal options, other than to tell you to head to NBC.com and poke around. So, our apologies to our readers in the Pacific time zone, but kindly stop asking. 

For those of you way out West with Direct TV, you can turn to channel 733 for the contest.
