BDL Bedlam, Rd. 1: DeShawn's beard vs. Gooden's beard

Day five of our completely pointless, albeit oddly entertaining, BDL Bedlam Tournament. Thanks to your help, we've compiled a list of 64 things that you may or may not love about the NBA and seeded them into four regions. Today we unveil the final eight match-ups of the first round. Voting will remain open until Sunday.

Up next in the Sheed Region: No. 7 seed DeShawn Stevenson's beard vs. No. 10 seed Drew Gooden's beard. Yup. BEARD-FIGHT! Study the 11 o'clock shadows up above and let's settle this once and for all: Who has the "better" beard? What facial hair should advance?     The locksmith's beard looks a wee bit frazzled, like somebody just jumped out of the closet and scared it...
    Gooden's looks more like a big brillo pad, one which could take rust off metal.

    Deshawn looks like a werewolve in transformation, something out of Thriller. Gooden looks like a pirate!!!! Get rid of it.

    I've got to pick Gooden, because at least now he's got his facial hair on the correct side of his head, as opposed to that hideous top of the neck soul patch from last year.

    whatever happend to drew gooden's hair patch? i'm not sure if he finally cut that off, but that thing was disgusting. does anyone know if he is just a weird guy or if that patch had some kinda of religious/cultural significance?
