Another 'NBA on TNT' spot: Gilbert Arenas and Rainn Wilson

This reads like a bad Yahoo! Answers question, but is anyone else disappointed with these new "NBA on TNT" commercials? They're horribly unfunny and downright boring. Should've used Creed, TNT.

    There's really no way to make a funny NBA commercial. It's basketball. What can be so funny about that? At least they are trying. Not a bad commercial though.

    not only are they unfunny, but they are blatant ripoffs of MTV cabdriver commercials from the early 1990s (and those were waaaay better). take a look:

    So many haters. That chit was hilarious. "Will he make it, sorry I'm sorry sir". "You know the meter's still running"? "Yeah you're good for it". "Defender, over his head, AHHHHHHHHHHHHH".
    Of course it's a blatant rip-off and they're not as funny as Jimmy McBride but given that TV these days sucks, isn't funny and is plaugued with horrific reality BS these TNT commercials ar a breath of fresh air.

    I don't think it was that bad frankly. I don't know how to make it funnier. I enjoyed it, but I love anything NBA. Even Gilbert Arenas although I'm from Cleveland.

    Definitely a take on the MTV Jimmy McBride ads. Still not a bad idea. Plus using Dwight K Schrute is a perfect way for cross-promoting The Office on TBS.
