Ball Don't Lie - NBA

Hello, boys and girls. How are you? You know, today is going to be a wonderful day.

Why? Well, today could be a wonderful day for many reasons.

We might get mail from the postman.

Or, we might get to link to a crappy Ma$e song because Allen Iverson has accepted the 76ers' one-year, non-guaranteed offer.

Welcome back, welcome back ...

Iverson is headed back to Philadelphia and he'll be joining the 76ers, the team that drafted him with the No. 1 pick in the '96 NBA draft, according to the team's site.

"In light of the recent injury to Lou Williams, which will sideline him for close to eight weeks, we felt that Allen was the best available free agent guard to help us at this time," 76ers President and General Manager Ed Stefanski said in a statement.

Iverson, his agent and business manager met with Stefanski, coach Eddie Jordan and two other members of the organization Monday.

The Gunslingin' Answer is likely to make his return in a Sixers jersey on Monday night against the Nuggets, another one of Iverson's recent teams.

You know you like that ...
