Steve Kyler of HoopsWorld has some great pre and post-game notes from last night's Minnesota-Orlando game. For instance, Dwight Howard said he was very pleased with Magic rookie Courtney Lee's performance (19 points on 8-of-10 shooting), joking that there was a little place under his right arm — Courtney's wing. "I just try to keep him under there," D-Ho said.
The most amusing note, though, is this little exchange between Al Jefferson and Sebastian Telfair from an earlier Wolves' practice:
"Apparently Al Jefferson and Sebastian Telfair had a friendly wager; Al challenged Bassy's ability to dunk the ball, putting $500 on it. Bassy apparently tossed the ball off the backboard and jammed it home. Bassy openly questioned Al about where his money was; Al responded jokingly, 'I don't pay people I can beat up ...' Guess Al forgets Sebastian is from Conley Island – they don't play in Coney Island."
For the record, Wikipedia lists Big Al at around 6'10, 250 pounds.
Telfair? Just a little bit bigger than this.
Thanks to Canis Hoopus for the heads up.

Actually Telfair made fun of everybody that wasn't from New Yawk City for being country. Al Jefferson was one of those guys. He told Bassy he wasn't country because he had family in New Jersey and Bassy told him he was still country.
