This week: Bowyer finished fifth last year at Homestead for his second top-10 finish in three starts at the 1.5-mile track. "It's a fun race track," said Bowyer. "I like the track a lot, and I look forward to going there every year. The last couple of years we've looked forward to finishing in the top five in points, so it's a little different this year."
Last week: Bowyer finished seventh at Phoenix for his second consecutive top-10 finish and his sixth in the last 10 races. "It was a good run for our team," said Bowyer. "We are still a little bit off here, but it is a huge step in the right direction. We are getting there; we're running out of time, though (to win a race in 2009). All in all, it was a good day for us."
Etc.: Bowyer admits he is looking forward to the offseason. "You need a clean slate," said Bowyer. "It gets everyone rejuvenated, gives us a chance to recharge the batteries, get the pep back in our shop. It's been a long year. When you struggle like we have this year, it's tough."
