Drivers to Watch

Kevin Harvick Harvick remains in second place in the Cup standings, moving up two points on points leader Greg Biffle (from a 9-point deficit before Fontana to a 7-point deficit afterward). He leads third-ranked Dale Earnhardt Jr. by 10 points.
Clint Bowyer Bowyer made a huge jump upward in the standings after his fourth-place finish at Bristol, going from 13th to a tie for 8th with fellow Toyota driver Joey Logano. Following his 13th-place finish at Fontana, he remains in 8th although Logano has dropped out of the top 10. Bowyer is 37 points behind series leader Greg Biffle and 1 point ahead of ninth place Jimmie Johnson and 2 points in front of 10th-ranked Ryan Newman, both drivers making their debut in the top-10 this season.
Denny Hamlin Dropped two more places in the standings to seventh place, 24 points behind series leader Greg Biffle and 14 points ahead of eighth-ranked Clint Bowyer. Hamlin has dropped six spots in the standings since his win in the season's second race at Phoenix.
Ryan Newman Newman moves into the top 10 for the first time this season following a seventh-place finish at Fontana. Newman is 40 points behind series leader Greg Biffle and just one point behind 9th-ranked Jimmie Johnson.
Brad Keselowski 16th, 16 points out of the top 10. Lost two spots last week.
Kyle Busch 14th, 12 points out of the top 10. Gained two spots last week.
Jeff Gordon 25th, 51 points out of the top 10. Lost two spots last week.
Joey Logano 13th, nine points out of the top 10. Lost four spots to fall out of the top 10.
Paul Menard 11th, seven points out of the top 10. Lost one spot Sunday to fall out of the top 10.
Marcos Ambrose 24th, 50 points out of the top 10.
Martin Truex Jr. Fell one spot in the standings from fourth to fifth place, two points behind fourth-ranked Tony Stewart and two points ahead of sixth-ranked Matt Kenseth.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. Moved up two positions to climb into third place, just one spot lower than his high point of the season (was ranked second after finishing runner-up at the season-opening Daytona 500). Is 10 points behind second place Kevin Harvick and one point ahead of fourth place Tony Stewart.

Matt Kenseth This year's Daytona 500 winner dropped the most points of any driver in the top 10 after Fontana, falling three places to sixth in the standings. With 173 points thus far this season, Kenseth is 22 points behind series leader and Roush Fenway Racing teammate Greg Biffle and is also two points behind fifth-ranked Martin Truex Jr. and two points ahead of seventh-ranked Denny Hamlin.
Jimmie Johnson Johnson moves into the top 10 for the first time this season. After getting back 25 points when a NASCAR penalty was overturned, Johnson started at Fontana in 11th place in the standings. His 10th-place finish in the race pushed him up to 9th in the standings, 39 points behind series leader Greg Biffle and one point ahead of 10th-ranked Ryan Newman, also making his first appearance in the top 10 this season.
Greg Biffle At 195 points, remained in first place in the Sprint Cup Series for the third consecutive week. Leads second-ranked Kevin Harvick by just 7 points.
