This week: Edwards is the defending race winner at Homestead and also will be seeking his fifth straight top-eight finish there. "Our history there is great," said Edwards. "A Roush Fenway car has won almost every year that I've been doing this at this level. I have real high hopes going in there. It's our last chance to get a win in 2009."
Last week: Edwards finished 16th at Phoenix. "We just missed it today," said Edwards. "We usually run really well at Phoenix, but we just missed the setup somehow. The car was just tight through the center (of the corner) and loose all day. It got better later in the race but still not where we needed it to be in order to be competitive."
Etc.: The team will be racing the same car that Edwards drove to a top-10 finish last month at California. "Without a doubt this has been a tough season for us, so we are certainly hoping for a strong run at Homestead to give us some momentum to carry us through the offseason," crew chief Bob Osborne said. "We won this race last year, and that would be a perfect way to end the season for everyone on the Aflac team."
