This week: Edwards started seventh and finished 15th in 2006 and started 13th and finished fourth in 2006 in his only two All-Star appearances. "The All-Star race is such an awesome experience," Edwards said. "I'm really looking forward to Saturday night, and I know we'll have a strong car for the race. It will be a lot like Saturday night dirt-track racing with the format the way it is. Everything is a sprint to the end and you go 100 percent every lap, and that's going to be fun."
Last week: Edwards was second to race-winner Kyle Busch at Darlington. "First of all, I'm definitely disappointed to finish second and not with the thing, but our whole crew did a great job," Edwards said. "I mean, we were 43rd on the sheet when we came here the first practice. I was down in the dumps. I was feeling terrible. I didn't like the new surface and I was frustrated, and to come out of here with a second-place finish, I mean, Kyle had the fastest car. He was pretty unbeatable tonight. To finish second and beat the rest of the field, that's pretty good from where we came from coming here, so I'm very proud of my guys for rebounding on pit road. They did a great job and it's good. I'm not so frustrated with the surface anymore. I was terrible on Thursday."
Etc.: Edwards will be driving chassis RK-570, the same car he drove to victory at Texas Motor Speedway last month.
