This week: Kvapil's best finish in two starts at Indy is 25th. "It was great to have time to spend with my family (during the off week), but I'm very excited to get to Indianapolis and the legendary Brickyard," said Kvapil. "Indy is a unique speedway with the rectangular shape and almost flat track surface, but a win at the Brickyard would be something very special to me and this team thanks to all the history associated with the track."
Last race: Kvapil ran into all kinds of problems at Chicagoland and finished 41st to drop out of the top 20 in the standings.
Etc.: Kvapil spent the first part of the week tire testing at Atlanta Motor Speedway. "Tire testing is a lot different than if we were just here regular testing and just trying to make the car go faster," said Kvapil. "In the morning, we make a few runs trying to get the car stable and consistent, and in the afternoon we go through different tires, compounds and combinations to get the Goodyear folks some data so we can have a great time and a great race when we come back (on Oct. 26)."
