 Rankings
 Rank   Name   Comments
1:Kyle Busch This just in: Kyle Busch has won the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard in two weeks.
2:Matt Kenseth Busch may have five wins since May 10, but in that time he's only scored seven more points than Kenseth.
3:Dale Earnhardt Jr. The consistency he showed early in the season is starting to slip just a little. Should Junior fans be worried? A little.
4:Jimmie Johnson Huge, huge race at Chicagoland for Johnson and Co., proving they've got their package together for the 1.5-mile tracks.
5:Carl Edwards Cousin Carl continues his roller coaster ride, though you gotta believe that if his splitter hadn't busted he would have wound up in victory lane at Chicagoland.
6:Tony Stewart Now it's time to wonder when Smoke will win. Only once has he gone winless this long into a season, and that was his rookie year.
7:Jeff Burton We're holding him here for what he did early on, but he's fading fast. Hasn't cracked the top 10 in the last five races.
8:Brian Vickers A lot of you will complain about this one, but check the numbers folks. Vickers deserves this spot.
9:Jeff Gordon With Indy, Pocono and Watkins Glen on deck, it's hard to believe Gordon will remain winless past Aug. 10.
10:Kevin Harvick The good news is Harvick is showing signs of life. The bad news is you don't know if those signs will be evident from week to week.
11:Kasey Kahne Since his two wins, Kasey has been up and down and up and down.
12:Greg Biffle The revolving 12th spot goes to … Biffle. He's been both really good and really bad at times this season, which is why he's in and out of Power Rankings.
Lucky Dog:AJ Allmendinger So we're partial to AJ because he's a Y! Sports contributor. Still, a 14th-place finish at a track he's never raced on before is impressive.
DNF:Sam Hornish Jr. This could go to any of the rookies, but the Indy 500 champ is having a terrible time as of late just cracking the top 20, which he's done only three times this season.
