Yahoo! Contributor NetworkFive NASCAR Drivers Who Will Probably Not Win Subway Fresh Fit 500
The 2012 Subway Fresh Fit 500 will be raced at the Phoenix International Raceway on March 4, 2012. This race will be a very exciting race, as many drivers will be eager to win the second race of the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
Though the following drivers would like to win the Arizona NASCAR race, they are probably not going to be victorious:
The 2003 V8 Supercar champion will likely not win the 2012 Subway Fresh Fit 500. Ambrose did win a race last season, the 2011 Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen, but he only has one NASCAR Sprint Cup Series career victory. I do expect that Ambrose will finish as one of the top 20 drivers in Arizona.
Jeff Burton has had a solid NASCAR Sprint Cup Series career, as he has won 21 career victories, but his last victory came in 2008, at the Bank of America 500. Burton may have a good race at the 2012 Subway Fresh Fit 500, but he will likely not win the race.
Mark Martin was the victor of the Subway Fresh Fit 500 pole, but he is not likely to win the race. Martin, who turned 53-years-old in January, has had a great career but his glory days are seemingly over. He may finish the race as one of the top 10 drivers, as he did at the Daytona 500, but the odds are against him that he will win this weekend's race at the Phoenix International Raceway.
Ryan Newman will likely race at the 2012 Subway Fresh Fit 500, but he will likely not win. The 2008 Daytona 500 winner has been successful in his career, especially with 15 career victories, but there are better drivers who will race in Phoenix, Arizona who will have a better chance at winning.
Tony Raines, who came in 19th place at the 2012 Daytona 500, will probably not race at the 2012 Subway Fresh Fit 500. If he were to race, I believe that he would not win the race, as he lacks career experience as a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver and has never prevailed in a NASCAR competition, excluding the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
Tom Harrington has been an avid and dedicated follower of NASCAR since Jeff Gordon won his first race at the 1994 Coca-Cola 600.
