This week: Ragan has only one top-10 finish in five starts at Charlotte but hopes the top-10 finish at California is the momentum boost the team needs to finish the year on a high note. "With Lowe's and Talladega and Martinsville, some of our good tracks coming up, hopefully we can carry a little bit of momentum that we have," said Ragan.
Last week: It has been a long and frustrating season for David Ragan, who was expected to challenge for a spot in the Chase. Instead, his seventh-place finish Sunday at California was only his second top-10 of the season. "We're not celebrating like it's a win, but a top-10, the way our season has been, is certainly refreshing," said Ragan.
Etc.: Ragan believes the top-10 finish at California is a "step in the right direction. Top-10s lead to top-fives and certainly they lead to wins. So for our UPS team, we just have to be consistent. Everybody is all pumped up after last Sunday."
