This week: Kvapil is still looking for his first top-10 finish at Lowe's Motor Speedway. His best finish in five starts is 17th. "We tested at Charlotte a few weeks ago and were very happy with the car's speed," said Kvapil. "The race shifts from day to night time, so we have to make sure we have a lot of adjustability built into our car for this weekend."
Last week: After winning his first Sprint Cup pole position, Kvapil had high hopes for the race. But with only 14 laps to go, Kvapil was caught up in a 12-car accident that began when Carl Edwards hit teammate Greg Biffle and sent Biffle spinning across the track. "We had a really good car," said Kvapil, who ended up 27th.
Etc.: Kvapil believes his team "has a bit of momentum right now. Even though we didn't get the finish we deserved at Talladega last week, we had a great race running up toward the front the majority of the race and, of course, the pole award."
