This week: Ambrose's first Cup start at Homestead didn't go well -- he started 41st and ended up 42nd. "But our team is so better now," said Ambrose. "We have come a long, long way in a year. We have really improved on the intermediate tracks, so we are really looking forward to this weekend."
Last week: The race didn't end as Ambrose would have liked as he dropped two spots in the final 25 laps to finish 11th for his 15th top-15 finish of the season. "Not bad," said Ambrose. "There's nothing worse than finishing 11th because we had a good car and we just burnt the right rear (tire) off there on the last run trying to stay in front of Jeff Gordon. Our team is learning, we're growing and we're getting better and better."
Etc.: Ambrose said he is "looking forward to the break" at the end of the season. But at the same time, he said he can't wait for next season. "I think 2010 is going to be a great year," said Ambrose. "We're going to be a contender next year, and that's really exciting for us. We're really excited about our future."
