From the Marbles - NASCAR

The wreck of the week was, without question, Jimmie Johnson's lap-three blowout in Texas. But since we've already covered that, let's take a look at another wreck that, in some small way, could affect the pace of the Chase. Juan Pablo Montoya got into the back of Carl Edwards, and Jeff Gordon spun in the ensuing melee -- that's two of Johnson's three closest pursuers involved. (Sorry, Carl.) Anyway, here's how it unfolded:

Gordon was able to recover somewhat, but Montoya was done for the day and the Chase. Somehow, though, I think we'll see him again.

Yes he did get loose. I think he can drive a racecar but it just seems every time he has a wreck, its someone elses fault! Man up Juan Pablo, real men DO say they are sorry and they DO accept the blame when its THIER fault!!

JimT Packerd will only think that way because it involed Carl. Put another owners car where Carls was and there wouldn't be a problem. Carl's year was done a long time ago, Carl even admitted to that 1/3 of the way into the season.

Jim T.-Juans not sorry for anything,he's a greasy sob
MarkN-Lol! got loose yeah right into Carl you already used that one on your bf Davey, I bet youd say that if a Roush guy had done it instead. You couldnt be more transparent. Juans the only tool that will take a guy out and then turn it around on that guy.
Actually their smart guy ive said a number of times that I think Juan is a dirty driver. You talk aload of bull, ofcourse ill care more if its my driver, you dont take a driver out and blame him the guy is that arrogant he wont admit his own mistakes.

JPM is always blaming someone else for his problems; but I think he's too aggresive w/out knowing how to handle that big NASCAR!! He has caused lots of wrecks--with someone else at fault!! (Naturally) Carl always blames himself even when it IS someone else's fault!! GO GUYS--only 2 left!!

Packerd read into it what you want while you wear those broken down Roush colored glasses . I call them like I see them and even stuck up for Jr. earlier in the season.Did JPM run into Carl? Yes on purpose ?No. Racing mistake ? Yes!Just like yesterday when I said Reut. made a mistake and hit Hornish. I might have a bf but unlike you who has a stable full of bf's. and one old guy that wears a straw hat.

MarkN-You call them like you see them is excatly right as you see them not as anyone else sees them. You come out with the loose driving argument, and conveiently miss the whole point entierly that Juan blamed Carl for his own actions thats just ignorant.
He didnt do on purpose but he sure didnt give a damn that he took someone out with him and shoved the blame on the victim in my book the two instances arent very diffrent.
#15-Since when have I cared if anybody agreed with me on a certain subject or not.

There is a fine line between a racing mistake and reckless driving.

Packerd I don't give a crap what the driver says either driver. JPM can complain all day that is was Carl's fault but it wasn't. He got loose went up the track into Carl, racing deal. If anyone should have been upset it was Jeff he was the only one out of the 3 of them that had anything to loose.
JimT I think there is a difference between driving hard and taking someone out on purpose. The difference is turning left or right.

Rudy- Everybody makes mistakes pro or not. If you over drive a car thats loose or you can't control to the point you wreck it or somebody else then I call that wreckless driving. Clipping the quarter panel of a loose car in a pack and wrecking other cars is wreckless to me. Some call it "aggressive". Others call it a "mistake". Bottom line is if your a "Pro" your not supposed to make mistakes very often. Thats just my opinion

Jim T - I agree about the fine line, and in fact it's so fine that sometimes it's hard to define it. That's why we get so many opinions when something happens.

Jim-This is true, you notice how its normally the same people that cause those same kind of accidents, you remember Juans first year in Nascar he took out a bunch of drivers on seperate occasions.
MarkN-B.S Juans one of those idiots that has no respect for anybody on the track, he's proven it time and time again.

Rudy- thing is those drivers at that level know exactly what will happen if you give somebody a little bump or take the air off the rear of the car so they lose down force. They also should know when to race and when to be patient. I can understand "Mistakes" a little better in the last few laps when everybody is giving it all they have and pushing it to the limit. Most of the time driver mistakes will cost the driver points so you have to be as close to perfect as you can be. So I don't have a high tolerance for drivers that make the same mistakes and cost other drivers points. You can wipe out a teams whole season with one foolish mistake.

These cats are racing for points positions for the end...3 races to go. You better be up on the wheel....and i beleive that is what JPM was trying to do, he just lost it. Have you ever seen a driver that hasn't lost it at some time or another? Not taking up for JPM....but it was an accident. Truth is Carl had less to lose than JPM and Gordon...JPM suffered the worst, all he did was screw himself.
