Add J.J. Yeley to the line of guys at North Carolina Kinko's running off copies of their resumes. Hall of Fame Motorsports has announced that Yeley's services will no longer be required, effective immediately. Hall of Fame will go to the bullpen, bringing in P.J. Jones for this weekend's road course race at Watkins Glen. The team will then tap twenty-year-old hotshot (aren't all young racers "hotshots"?) Brad Coleman for his inaugural Sprint Cup race on Aug. 17 at Michigan.
Yeley hasn't exactly torn up the track this year; in 17 races, he's notched only a single top-five finish, and currently sits at that agonizing 36th position in the standings. Over his 95-race career, which included a couple years in the Joe Gibbs stable, Yeley has only managed seven top-10 finishes.
What will be interesting over the next few weeks is whether drivers like Yeley and Casey Mears, who have had more than their share of poor finishes this year, will get snapped up by teams with an eye on potential rather than performance.
And for Brad Coleman, we highly recommend you take out someone in the Chase hunt early in the race. The old-timers love it when you show that kind of moxie so early in your career.

What's happening?? Sorry, I like trying in MC Hammer references when I see someone's career being flushed down the drain like all parachute pants should be.

Yeley is a great driver and most Nascar fans likely don't know what it takes to drive a real open wheel, non- winged car and win USAC series championships in three divisions in one year.
Did you notice when Tony Stewart needed relief he called for JJ? Not the "Bandelero" champion Joey Logano- you can also bet that the racers at TSR will be real racers who have proven themselves in all highly competitive divisions- not some sissy sandlot series run by Humpy Wheeler.

Well JJ. & the #96 car prove NOT ALL Toyotas are having a great year & super HP. As a driver , the guy has shown some sparkles His job prospects in cup seem cloudy. I can't think of too many rides open. There are some teams talking about add another car like Robby Gordon's.

NASCAR runs it's "Home Town Track" highlighting local drivers at small tracks when in reality we see buttholes like Penske play with the rules and put some sorry IRL driver behind the wheel and th influx of foreigners (especially californians) while these small track local drivers are getting crapped out of chances to move up.
