From the Marbles - NASCAR

Special Saturday Nationwide version of Running Wide Open today, as we've got a fine little showdown later this afternoon in the season-ending Nationwide race. Sure, Kyle Busch has already locked up the championship, but that's not what everyone wants to see -- we're waiting to see what happens between Denny Hamlin and Brad Keselowski. There's a bit of bad blood between them, as you may have heard. So, hang out here, place your bets, chat about the race. Have at it!

I really don't think Denny and Bradski will deliberately mix it up today. Yeal right. If they are going to get it on hope they do it today and not tomorrow.

Jay - Thanks for this thread today.
Oh.. I can't wait. Starting positions... Denny 6th place and Bradski directly behind him in 8th place!!! I would love to see some bumpin' and bangin' with them, but is there a possibility for fines and penalties starting at Daytona 2010 for agressive driving???

My money is on Hamster this time, but I'm thinking this is a to be continued into next season. And I think next season Bradski is going to end up looking like he's playing bumper cars quite a few times....just wait till the big boys get hold of him...

Kim, Lets Get Ready To Rumble, lol, Jimmie48, good to see ya here again, finally I agree with a 48fan, my money would be on Hamlin, like you, dont like neither one of them, both punks, 2 peas of a pod, but Kissazzky has a good wall climbing coming, if not today, maybe one of the cup boys will accidently make a hard turn to the right, it will be well deserved & forthcoming, but I can only wish, and congrats to your boy on his championship
Dani, dont get too worked up there, but I would love to see it also, maybe both in wall
Really, I think Nascar will put them under the microscope, and I know Jr dont want his car tore up, he will probably tell the kid to race clean for a change

Dani- I know I can't wait either. But I'm sure they've been told to not make it obvious in the first lap. haha. I think Nascar should turn their heads just this one time (Ha) and let them have at it. As long as they don't take out anyone else. Well okay maybe a couple others. lol.

Hi Frevic- I'm just hoping can get away from Scott Speed. He's the one I'm worried about. haha.
Gson is doing good. He just sent me a picture on my cell this morning and he's all in his dress blues and lookin good. His injuries healed well but he has to wear glasses now from the head trauma but thats nothing compared to what could have happened. Anyway hope you enjoy the races this weekend. I'm going to hang around here for sure.

I got Bradski all the way on this one. Like Ricky Craven said, the ones who talk the most do the least, and I couldn't agree more. I think Denny was begging NASCAR to put a stop to the festivities before he had to put up or shut up. Why else would he open his big mouth on national TV with his "I'm going to cash in my chips" nonsense. He knows if there's enough potential for wreckage that the powers to be will have to stop it. Denny's just a little mamas boy looking for mama NASCAR to help him out of what his big pie-hole has gotten him into. Men let their actions speak for them, they don't need to run their mouths.
    Give'um hell Brad.

J48, glad to hear the g'son's injuries healed well; hope the psyche is healing good as well. The psych trauma can be so much worse than the physical injuries. Scott Stop has said that he's nervous about starting next to Jimmie, or words to that effect, I believe. I have a feeling that the dust-up with Hamster and Jetski will come late in the race, if they don't behave themselves. Jetski has too much to lose today to start anything early; of course, Denny doesn't have anything to lose--unless it's something from next season!
Frevic, when I read the article, the "let's get ready to rumble" phrase ran through my brain. Of course, I probably owe Michael Buffer a few bucks just for thinking it, since he owns the rights to the saying.

Frevic - Yeah, I am excited and will enjoy this race to the checkered flag!!! To bad you have to be a bump on a log and can't enjoy the last two races. Until Brian France neuteres these two drivers, it will be fun. Speaking of France, there he is talking about limits for these guys, and a lot of blah, blah!

Did anyone else think the trumpet anthem could have been better? He seemed off on a few notes to me. And Robert Hight could have learned a few lessons in creative "Start Your Engines" from his boss!
