From the Marbles - NASCAR

Found this while trolling the Interwebs:

Ha ha! Jeff Gordon is--

[Hi. This is Jay Busbee, the actor who plays the character 'Jay Busbee' on the blog "From The Marbles." Every once in awhile, I step out from the shadows. Much as we like to bust on Jeff, he's got a great message here. I urge you to listen closely to it, and think what you're going to do about it, regardless of your political persuasion. Okay, back to your regularly scheduled blog.]

--another thing, I bet he's not even wearing pants! Wotta maroon!

Jeffy is trying to get it done, along with many others in NASCAR and other professional athletes, but they can't do it alone. I am watching the news tonight and some members of Congress are more intersted in harrassing one of Obama's appointees about what tax preparation software he used rather than what ideas he has to solve our problems. These are the same people who created this mess, and their only interest, still, is what is in this for me. Enough said, now how many days to Daytona? Our Mission Statement:
The mission of The Jeff Gordon Foundation is to support children battling cancer by funding programs that improve patients’ quality of life, treatment programs that increase survivorship and pediatric medical research dedicated to finding a cure.
In addition the Foundation provides support to the Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital in Concord, NC which serves children in the community by providing a high level of primary and specialty pediatric care.

KD, I was a republican for most of my life until the Georges came along. George Pataki as governor of New York and George W. Bush as president and neither one of them lives up to the ideals of the republican party. Pataki was a big spending, big government liberal, and Bush is an intolerant idiot; white, male, and christian or get out of the way. Both are government control freaks in their own ways. Their way or the highway. True republicans want less government in all aspects of life. I think the government should be the referee rather than the players.

Mr. President, hi I'm a Marblehead, and want you to stop people from wanting to kill us or send us all back to the 6th century. I have no idea how your going to accomplish that but it's a good idea and it makes me feel better. Thanks for listening.
A great message? Yes. Any suggestion on how to get that done or how to pay for it Jeff? No.
Sorry for being the realist here but anybody can say anything, but without suggestions on how to accomplish your ideas or direct solutions to those problems, they're just empty words.
The same empty words I've heard from our new president for close to two years now. I hope he has some great ideas bouncing around in that head of his, cause God knows this country needs help, but I have yet to hear any solutions to any of the touchy-feely statements made during the campaign.
KimRN, on the other hand, asks the same of our new president AND has a solution to solve the heath care crises. Whether you agree with her course of action or not, she at least has a course of action.
If you would like to read KimRN's solution, and it is worth reading, check out her blog at:

Nice job Kim, and I hope President Obama listens to what you have to say.

Maybe I missed something, but KimRN's post # 1 seems to support Gordon's video. JG may not have the answer, but finally he is talking to someone who might listen for the first time in 8 years, and that is change I can live with. And I read KimRN's proposal and I hope the new president listens to her too. Obama campaigned for 2 years, but he has only been on the job 2 days. For 8 years Bush had no solutions, nor did he care, and his friends who are left behind in congress don't care either but they are already obsessed with being obstructionists. Nuff said.

Some funny editing going on in there :-)
I am optimistic that on balance all this change I keep hearing about will be for the best :-)
I wonder if Jeffy meets the new lobbying regulations introduced today (yesterday depending on where you are right now) ?

Many times we the people have suggestions concerning bettering our country and the lives of the people within our country. That doesn't mean that we have the answers as to how to accomplish it. That's why we elect representatives. People who have the education and the intelligence to figure out how fixing a problem can be accomplished. Jeff has the right idea. Plead with those in a responsible position, who has the ability to get it done. Just because many of us don't have that education and ability, doesn't mean that we shouldn't express our ideas, and hope that someone who has that ability to figure out how to do it, DOES IT !

Jeff is OK, however the real problem in this country is the overalll level of stupidity in our general population...... I mean HOW many votes did Obama get? A sad sad time in US history... everyone is making a big deal out of the US having it's first Half black president...... really shouldn't we more concerned with "the content of his character" rather than the color of his skin? I don't dobt Obamas politician abilities, I mean he does serve a well plated portion of BS and makes it look appitizing..... The part I have SO much trouble understanding is that we(americans)always have a fair amount of doubt and distrust towards"politicians" YET Obama is the biggest talker and BS slinger the political system have ever seen and so many embrace him..... I guess being half black goes a long way in a world where most people have not the courage to be politically incorrect.... Don't forget Hitler was a socialist.... and the cult following of MR.Obama has a scary tone of Heil Obama.... Open your eyes American and have the stones to not swallow all the left wing BS the media shoves in your face.....

Looking at Obama's track record is very discouraging. He's always talking about change and spreading the wealth, but the only change he's ever brought about is changing jobs every few years without finishing anything ie: He's been a Senator for just under 3 years and 2 of those were spent running for President. And the majority of the votes he made in the Senate were Present rather than Aye or Nay. Everything prior just mirrors the last 3 years. I don't have any answers anyone wants to hear because none are PC and involve throwing out all the crooks which would leave us with very very few people in Congress! The common American is kept too busy just trying to keep it all together and have to depend on the Media to do their thinking for them while lobbyist actually control and run this country. Despite all this America has survived and we will Man up and survive Obama also!

One encouraging note is that the left wing is already unhappy as Obama has picked people that they consider to be too moderate, too middle of the road, to serve on his cabinet. (although, I have to chuckle if they think Hillary is a moderage, but she will be out of the country a lot, which I am sure Bill is grateful for!) Anyway, after the last 8 years right wing BS (and corruption and incompetence), I have low expectations for our government so I am in position where I could be pleasantly surprised.

WTON, I wasn't yelling at you, it's just that on another thread if it's not 100% NASCAR, some people get upset (very upset to put it politely). So fire away, I like a good joke as much as anyone. The midnight marbles crowd is always a good place to lighten up, but fair warning, they go off on tangents when there is no nascar to talk about. You may have noticed at times Jay posts a comment that this is the Midnight Marbles thread, so have at it with whatever you want to talk about. That being said, there are a couple commentors who are just plain angry and there isn't much you can do except ignore them. Have a good day.

WTON - No problem here. I wasn't yelling at you. I don't remember you, at any time, trying to cause trouble. Sometimes it wise to use :), or LOL after your comment, so that we know you're not serious. We can all, well, most of us, can take and enjoy humor. It has great healing powers.
Jay Busbee - Myself and others believe that you're doing a FANTASTIC job of keeping us entertained when there's nothing going on.
