Feud of the week: Hornaday! Sauter! Truck Series brawling!

For this week's Feud of the Week, we're going to step on over to the Camping World Truck Series. Sure, we could have chosen Jeff Gordon vs. Matt Kenseth or Marcos Ambrose vs. well, everyone, but none of those parties had a heated (albeit a tad one-sided) exchange after the race.

With 34 laps to go, Ron Hornaday knocked Johnny Sauter out of the way as the two were racing for second place. Sauter, who had already worked his way back up to the front after a problem with his left rear tire on a pit stop, collected Mike Skinner and the day was essentially ruined for both drivers while Hornaday escaped unscathed to finish second.

If you look closely, you can see Sauter knock one of his own crew members down to the ground to get closer to Hornaday:

Sauter bit his tongue in his post race comments, but Hornaday said after the race that he probably deserved the chewing out for his bump.

But don't expect this to be a short-term short track feud. During Tuesday's teleconference, Hornaday said he's expecting payback sometime.

"So I'm sure that Johnny will pay me back. Like I said, hopefully we have another Martinsville coming up at the end of the year and we have shorter tracks. So kind of have it like a Carl Edwards deal, know he'll pay me back; when, I don't know, but go out and race hard and do what we've got to do."

If that payback comes sometime soon, Hornaday's going to be in an even bigger hole than he's in now. He's now 12th in the standings, but thanks to that second-place finish he jumped 16 places. Yes, it's really early in the season, but he's already 178 points behind Timothy Peters, and another 70-point loss in the next couple weeks could be crippling.

So sit back and enjoy this potential feud that could impact the title race. Feuds with meaning are pretty hard to come by these days.
